Welcome to Psychology II! Many of you are new to a hybrid program and while some of you may have some anxiety about change and the unknown, rest assured that we will have a great time together this semester. This course will demand a new type of learning that many of us are not used to. Be open minded and soak it all in. You read about the hybrid program in the syllabus, so you are ready for the journey, right? Buckle up, here we go!
After you read through the syllabus, I would like for you to create your first Journal Post. There is a specific format to naming your posts. You should always copy the title of my post. So for your first post, you will type "Journal #1: Initial Thoughts & Feelings". Is your mind blown yet? Hope not!
The first thing I would like you to do in your first post is talking about your thoughts and feelings. After reading the syllabus were you excited for the class? Anxious? Scared? Ambivalent? Be specific about your thoughts and feelings, but remember that you are still writing for an academic audience. It is okay to share your apprehension, but it is not okay to simply say, "This sucks".
After sharing your thoughts and feelings, explore three portfolios from the last term and describe what you saw, what you are excited for, what you are worried about, etc. Be descriptive.
