Urie Bronfenbrenner designed the Ecological Systems Theory. He believed that a person's development was affected by everything in their surrounding environment. He concluded that there were five different levels that affect children and their contexts.
Bronfenbrenner believed that the process of human development was shaped by the many different levels of interaction between an individual and his or her environment. He stated that everyone was influenced by parents, friends, school, work, culture, etc. He saw developmental psychology as only studying individual influences and conceived his theory of human development. Read about Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Model here. Then go through the webpage titled "Applying Bronfenbrenner's Student Development Theory to College Students and Social Media" Explain the five levels of Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory and put yourself in the middle and explain what exists in each level/system that have influenced and affected who you are today. Make sure you cite all sources and images. At the bottom of your post, add the titles and links used for your post. |
