Task 1: For this Journal Assignment you will be researching the developmental stage of adolescence, which is conveniently the stage you are current in. Begin with this chart that outlines the stages of adolescent development. Does this chart make sense? Can you think back to your early adolescence and make connections? Can you see connections between you now and middle adolescence? What are your thoughts about late adolescence? Does anything surprise you about late adolescence?
Task 2: Then refer to Psychology Today's Section on Adolescence. Choose one article from Talking to Teens, one article from Mental Health in High School, one article form Sex and Drugs, and two recent posts on adolescence. You will use citation machine to generate an APA citation for each of your articles and then you will submit a two paragraph response where the first paragraph is a summary of the article and the second paragraph is your connection, deeper learning, and essentially where you demonstrate what you learned. Make sure you link your article into your response. By this point in your academic journey, a paragraph is about 10-12 quality sentences. Cite sources correctly according to APA.
